Windows Home Server update released

Microsoft has now released an update to Windows Home Server called Power Pack 1 which includes a number of minor new features including the ability to back up files stored in the shared folders on the server and support for the 64-bit version of Windows Vista, more importantly the Power Pack also includes a a long awaited patch for a data corruption bug in Windows Home Server (WHS),
Microsoft said Power Pack 1 had been released to manufacturing and posted to the company’s download site, to manually download this click here. It will be pushed to systems running Windows Home Server (WHS) next month via Windows Update.
Hewlett-Packard which sells its MediaSmart Server with WSH pre-installed has also unveiled an update of its own that added server-side anti-virus scanning and enhanced media streaming, this update will be immediately available to WHS users via their server consoles.
