The User Account Control (UAC) is included in Windows 7 to help prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. The UAC will notify you when changes are going to be made to a computer that requires administrator-level permission. These types of changes can affect the security of a computer or can affect settings for other people that use the computer.

System Restore regularly tracks changes to your computer’s system files and uses a feature called system protection to create restore points. System protection is turned on by default on the hard drive that Windows is installed on. However you can turn on or off System Restore for other disks by turning on system protection for those disks.

The European Union have finally agreed to a settlement in the row over bundling Internet Explorer with Windows.
The settlement announced on the Microsoft Press Pass Website confirms that new Windows machines sold from March will contain a set-up screen listing the five major web browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera (with another seven available by scrolling horizontally), with users picking as many or as few as they like to install.

Microsoft plans to make available for general download a range of games and programs designed to take advantage of the touch capabilities built by default into Windows 7.
The official Microsoft website for the Touch Pack for Windows 7 noted: “The Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 is a collection of games and programs that you interact with using your fingers. To use these games and programs, you need either a laptop with a screen that supports multitouch or a desktop PC connected to a touch screen that supports multi-touch (including all-in-one PCs with touch screens). … To find this capability, look for a laptop, all-in-one PC, or touch screen with the Windows 7 logo that says it supports Windows Touch.”
